Hula Hula
Although the living couldn't be finer anywhere else than along the sparking shoreline of God's Country, its good to remember that there are other places whose scenic beauty and mild climate rivals Houston, and natually Hawaii comes to mind.
So bring your hula hoops and leis for an evening of South Seas themed musical shorts from the 40's and 50's, including Betty Boop backed by the Royal Samoans in "Betty Boop's Bamboo Isle". Plus: "Perilous Paradise", a travelogue of Moro Islanders in the Sulu Sea which portrays their society as a kind of tropical King Arthur's court. But life can be hard, as we see when pearl divers flee from menacing manatees, not to mention the giant clams and sharks.
